Following helpful feedback from our patients at Southglade Medical Practice, here are some of the things we have been doing to further improve your experience with us.
1. “We want shorter telephone lines”
We have brought in more trained staff who can support our reception team to take calls during busy times. We are also introducing a new free Dr.iQ app which will provide a more convenient way to contact our surgery for non-urgent advice and care.
2. “We want more face-to-face appointments”
We have revised our rota so that more face-to-face appointments are available to patients.
3. “We want to be able to pre-book appointments”
We have introduced more pre-bookable GP appointments.
4. “We want more people answering phones”
We continue to grow our team to support a better experience for our patients. To help recruit and retain staff we advertise regularly, always pay above the independently set National Living Wage, and offer great benefits and career development.
5. “We want to be able to see the same GP regularly and not a different GP each time”
We have made more follow-up appointments available with the same clinician.
