Patients at The Practice St Albans in Bulwell can now enjoy the full benefits of a £200,000 investment into the building, following the official opening ceremony on 22nd November.
The investment has paid for two new consulting rooms, the creation of a larger waiting room as well as the refurbishment of the reception area and existing treatment rooms. This investment also provides additional capacity for patients and staff from Springfield Practice who joined St Albans this year after their practice closed.
Welcoming the improvements to the practice, Professor Nick Harding, Chief Medical Officer of Operose Health said: “This investment is all part of our commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients here at St Albans. We all know how much pressure the NHS is under, so it’s great to be here today to celebrate some good news for patients and our staff. I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work to transform this amazing building.”
Regional Operations Manager Kirstie said: “I know how much this practice means to local people in Bulwell. The whole team here are so pleased that we now have more space to help look after our patients, and more modern facilities to work in.”
The Practice St Albans is rated good by the Care Quality Commission and looks after around 9,500 patients.
The investment provides the surgery with more clinical capacity and improve patient experience. The works have also improved the building’s sustainability by enhancing the EPC rating to ‘B’.
