Each and every member of The Practice St Albans team works really hard to deliver the best care possible for their local communities. This is why, on behalf of the team at the practice, we are delighted to inform you that we have been rated ‘Good’ following our inspection in September by our national regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
It is pleasing to see the CQC recognise we provide effective care and treatment for patients in a kind and respective manner. In their words, the CQC said that “the practice had a clear vision and credible strategy to provide high quality sustainable care”.
The CQC highlighted a significant number of positives in their report, including:
- Work closely with other health and care professionals to deliver a coordinated package of care for those patients with the most complex needs.
- Have share clear and accurate information with relevant professionals when deciding care delivery for patients with long-term conditions.
- Have introduced an online GP consultation tool via an app, which has proved particularly useful in increasing access to clinicians for working age patients.
- We support national priorities and initiatives to improve the population’s health.
- Have a clear and comprehensive governance structure designed to provide board to floor monitoring, feedback and support.
- Have a culture which drove high quality sustainable care.
- The CQC recognised that we have recently made a substantial financial investment in the Practice St Albans surgery with new consulting rooms, an expanded waiting room and refurbished reception and treatment rooms.
